I tell you this because you will mistake me for an africanamerican BUT i am negro, a descendant of the enslaved

peoples of theseunitedstatesofamerica.

I live southern.

I was born colored in Louisiana. I was raised negro. I was educated Black at Grambling College, a historically

integrated college.

I live in the moment.

In the moment is creation. Creation is within every human. We must celebrate our creativity. The moment fuels our

creativity.

I live to put ink on paper.

This is the major outlet for my creativity. I put ink on paper for the glory of my peoples. The words of my peoples

have largely been excluded from "fine print." I defy this condition and force my peoples' presence into this part of

this civilization's culture.

I am a printer.

I am not an artist.

I am a stuff-maker.

I am not an artist.

I am a visitor.

 

I will die.

Gerlinde Meyer studied illustration at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts. She works as an illustrator and graphic artist on her own book projects, graphics, exhibitions, coloberations with other artists and commissioned works. She prefers to practice screen printing, wood- and linocuts. Her works

have received some awards and have been shown at exhibitions and fairs. In the summer of this year she had the perfect experience of working in the Dilna workshop in Tabor. Among other things, she produced further prints for a cycle on fears. For the TABOOK festival 2019, large-format proofs of her

woodcuts and linocuts will be displayed on walls in the public space of the city of Tabor. She will create a map and invite all to take a stroll. Have fun rambling around!

Martin Salisbury is Professor of Illustration at Cambridge School of Art in Anglia Ruskin University, UK, where he designed and led until 2018, the renowned MA Children’s Book Illustration programme. He studied illustration at Maidstone College of Art in the 1970s before working as an illustrator and painter for many years. He has acted as chair of the international jury at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, member of the jury at the CJ Picturebook Awards (Seoul) and the Global Illustration Awards (China). He has been an invited keynote speaker at numerous illustration related events and publishing fairs in Europe, USA, South America and the Far East. He is the author of a number of books on the practical and theoretical aspects of illustration which have been published in many languages around the world, including Children’s Picturebooks: The art of visual storytelling (2012 and 2020) and The Illustrated Dust Jacket: 1920-1970 (2017).

Básník, prozaik, rusista a komparatista Miroslav Olšovský (1970) dosud vydal prózu Líčení (2012), Záznamy prázdnot (2006; autorský výbor z básní 1990–2003),Průvodce krajinou (2011) a Kniha záznamů a prázdnot (2017). Podílel se na vydání a překladu antologie literární a filozofické tvorby činarů Ten, který vyšel z domu… (2003). Edičně připravil výbor z básníka Igora Cholina Nikdo z vás nezná Cholina (2012). Básně a eseje o literatuře publikoval v A2, Pěší zóně, Souvislostech či Světu literatury. Pracuje ve Slovanském ústavu AV ČR.
